The Deco District Wants YOU!

How to support efforts to revitalize a great community:

  • Live local, shop local
  • Stay informed
  • Contribute your talent, time or treasure

Live here!  The Deco District boasts some of the best residential real estate in San Antonio, at virtually any price range, for sale or for rent, and with a real neighborhood feel. The building and architectural quality and touches characteristic of our neighborhoods can only be found in a neighborhood established by people who cared about quality in their homes and community. If you already live here:

  • Attend community celebrations
  • Support efforts to keep the neighborhood clean
  • Walk – don’t drive – to really see what our neighborhood has to offer; check out the historic architecture
  • Volunteer with kids on activities that benefit neighborhood
  • Participate in community discussion groups on the future of our neighborhood
  • Tell your friends to volunteer

Shop here!  One of the best ways you can personally impact the economic health of our neighborhood is to shop locally, along the Fredericksburg, Zarzamora, West Avenue and Hildebrand corridors.  Our ability to attract quality merchants depends on this simple rule: merchants go where the customers are, so:

  • Buy goods & services from local neighborhood businesses
  • Eat at a neighborhood restaurant
  • Perform as many weekend errands and activities in the  neighborhood as you can
  • Bring your friends to the Deco District with you to shop, dine, play miniature golf or meet for coffee

Stay informed about economic, cultural, political and social forces impacting the revitalization of the Deco District by checking this website frequently and by becoming involved in the work we do.

Contribute your resources financially through the donation of cash or in-kind goods or services or become involved by contributing your time and talents (details below). We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
