Our Mission

The Jefferson Woodlawn Lake Community Development Corporation will combat community deterioration and decay by assisting in the revitalization of neighborhood businesses, attracting new businesses, improving economic conditions, assisting with renovation and redevelopment of housing, helping to improve and enhance existing parks as well as addressing neighborhood safety and education concerns.


Bihl Haus Arts presents: The On and Off Fredericksburg Road Studio Art Tour

A self-guided two-day tour of artist studios and galleries “on and off” Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas.

February 21 and 22, 2015

Spend the weekend meandering through artists’ studios and area galleries. From reclaimed former neighborhood grocery stores to intimate backyard sanctuaries, the studios on the tour provide environments in which local contemporary artists create a variety of works, such as large-scale ceramic sculptures, metalwork, one-of-a-kind light fixtures, art photography, beadwork and embroidery, and painting in a variety of styles. Demonstrations, hospitality, and opportunities to purchase art are all part of the On and Off Fred experience.

NYA Presents: The Deco District Arts and Music Festival

The Network for Young Artists (NYA) presents its official Fiesta event: The Deco District Arts and Music Festival. This free, world class celebration brings together local residents and tourists to the Historic Deco District. This outdoor boutique music and arts festival offers dozens of performances by local and national musicians of all ages, street vendors, diverse food/drink menu and community spirit for all to enjoy. One stage is dedicated to NYA and youth centric organizations highlighting local youth talent who are certain to WOW you. This event highlights the cultural, economic and social vitality of the Deco District. *Additional charges apply for all food and beverage items.*Must be 21 years or older to purchase alcoholic beverages.

  Network for Young Artists (NYA), a local non-profit organization. Its mission is to build self-esteem in youth and to promote art and culture through voice, dance, musical instrument and performing arts programs. Through fulfillment of this mission, the organization strives to attain its vision to ensure all youth have access to life-enriching and affordable vocal, dance and lifelong vocational instrument programs.
